Golf La Moraleja
The BCO Cup will be taking place at Golf La Moraleja, a private members’ club with four golf courses just 15km from Madrid. Golf La Moraleja, Inc was established in 1973 and hosted two Spanish Opens in 1986 and 1997.
The original golf course was developed in 1974-75 under the direction and design of Jack Nicklaus, and was opened in June 1976 with a golf competition featuring Jack Nicklaus, Valentin Barrios, Sam Snead and Tom Weiskopf.
Golf La Moraleja Campo 1 is the oldest of the Moral golf courses and is very narrow and technical. Lakes and out-of-bounds play an important role in the strategy of play of each hole. The greens are very small but very fast.
The day will start with breakfast available from 0800, followed by a shotgun start at 0900. The competition will be played in four balls for best individual Stableford for the Cup, a team best ball and the normal closest the pin and longest drive options. There will also be a Ryder Cup match play event with teams of two competing over 18 holes.
The day will conclude with a four course sit down lunch and prize-giving, leaving enough time to travel back by coach into the centre of Madrid for the opening drinks reception.
Commemorative shirts are included, so please provide your required size on the booking form.
