The drinks reception will be held in the historic Casino de Madrid, located in the heart of the old city.
The Casino is a private members’ club housed in a listed building completed in 1910. The design was the result of a compilation of designs submitted for an international architectural competition. The Casino houses an impressive art collection of paintings, sculptures crystal lamps and valuable clocks. The Royal Hall, or ballroom, is neo-rococo in style and houses works of art such as Mansard lamps, Maumejéan stained glass, ceiling frescoes by Cecilio Pla and Emilio Sala, and a marble wall frieze by Mariano Benlliure.
