AWARDS PRESENTER

Beverley Turner is a broadcaster, Daily Telegraph columnist, businesswoman and ante-natal educator. Her career has covered writing and reporting on sport, lifestyle and current affairs.

Starting her presenting career in sport, Beverley covered pit lane developments for ITV’s Grand Prix coverage, as well as the Tour de France and NBA basketball. She distanced herself from F1 with a controversial book, The Pits: The Real World of Formula 1 in which she revealed the seamier side of the sport and business but remained in broadcasting. She covered entertainment news for This Morning, fronted Taste, a daily food and drink show, and the documentary Across The Line for Sky One's Sport Matters series.

Beverley was one of the few women regularly asked back onto BBC One’s comedy sports show They Think It's All Over. She sees this is as a happy consequence of being very difficult to offend. She also co-hosted (with Eamonn Holmes) Radio 5Live’s Saturday morning show, adn hosted her own Sunday show on LBC. Other guest appearances include Radio 4's Woman's Hour, Anita Anand's 5 Live debate show and ITV's Loose Women.

As well as media work, Beverley runs her London-based business, The Happy Birth Club, which she describes as a “posh NCT course” (she also wrote The Happy Birth Book with her business partner, midwife Pam Wild). Beverley also presented 5Live’s Bump Club and regularly talks at maternity and women’s health conferences. She has written for The Independent and Daily Telegraph on sport, motherhood, sexual politics and society.
