Description

Guests will enjoy pre-dinner drinks and will then be seated for a 3-course meal, followed by entertainment from our Awards host, Jonathan Schofield and Special Guest, Stacey Copeland. The evening will conclude with the announcement of this year’s regional winners.

AWARDS PRESENTER

      

Jonathan Schofield is a public speaker, a town and city identity consultant and a freelance writer on tourism, architecture, public art, history and food and drink. He was Highly Commended at the Manchester Tourism Awards 2005 for the Best Tourism Experience of the Year (awarded for guiding services). His award-winning tours have included Radical Manchester, the Incredible Interiors, Chetham’s Library and Medieval Buildings, Engels in Manchester, London Road Fire Station tours and many others. He is also the Editor of Manchester Books Limited (www.mcrbooks.co.uk) and has written several books on the North West. He is a regular broadcaster on local and national radio.

 

He has been the official tour guide for the world-famous Manchester International Festival since 2015 conducting heaps of sold-out tours. He is the  exclusive tour-guide partner for Chetham's Library and Medieval Buildings and was the only guide asked to lead London Road Fire Station tours. He currently has exclusive access to Mayfield abandoned station and the Edgar Wood Centre.

Stacey Copeland has represented her country in two sports, football and boxing. As an amateur boxer she won a European silver medal before turning professional and in 2018 made history in becoming the first ever British woman to win the Commonwealth title. In 2017 she founded Pave The Way, a charity which promotes gender equality. Stacey delivers talks in schools, communities, and businesses, and has spoken at European Parliament and the United Nations about women in sport. She presents on BBC Radio Manchester and recently won the Emerging Talent award at the O2 media awards for presenting the Paving The Way series on ITV Granada Reports.

TERMS & CONDITIONS


 Tickets for the event will not be issued until payment has been received in cleared funds.
1. Confirmation of booking: TBookings are only accepted with full payment in advance. Your table booking is not guaranteed until you have received written confirmation from CreatEvents. If you do not receive written confirmation within 10 working days, please contact us on 01183 340085.The BCO are unable to raise invoices in advance for payment but will issue a VAT invoice after payment has been received.
2. Cancellation policy: Unfortunately, due to commitments with the venue, we are unable to offer refunds.
3. Special dietary requirements: Instructions of how to order will be sent with your wine ordering information. Simply complete and return as instructed on the form. This form must be received at least 48 hours prior to the event, otherwise charges will apply and it may not be possible to take care of the specific requirements of any guest.
4. Lighting and special effects: It is the table booker's responsibility to inform guest(s) that special effects, including strobe lighting, may be used at the event.
5. Alterations: It may be necessary for reasons beyond our control to alter the venue or the date of the event. We will give you as much notice as we can and your booking will be transferred to the new venue or date.
6. Event cancellation: If we cancel the function we will refund all booking fees paid. We do not, however, accept liability for travelling, accommodation, or any other expenses incurred as a result of any cancellation or postponement of the event.
7. Loss or Damage: Our liability for loss or damage incurred as the result of cancellation or postponement of the event is limited to the amount of your booking fee.
8. Guest speaker: The guest speaker is subject to change as a consequence of illness, accident or other reasons beyond our control. In such a circumstance a suitable replacement will be found.

These terms and conditions are governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
