Description

Building Brum Programme Director Conor Nolan will be joined by Calthorpe Estates Masterplanning and Development Director Ralph Minott, Turley Senior Director and Head of Planning Midlands Angela Reeve and Associated Architects Director Stephen Townsend. The evening will take an exclusive look at the paths that these three inspirational leaders have followed, how they have created the balance of work and life and if where they are today follows the trajectory they set out at the start of the careers.

Ralph Minott, Masterplanning and Development Director, Calthorpe Estates

Ralph Minott is a world-class martial artist who once represented Great Britain at the Olympics. He is also the development director of Calthorpe Estates, a 640 hectare parcel of prime real estate on the edge of Birmingham city centre.

 

 

 

 
Angela Reeve
       

 

 

Angela Reeve, Senior Director, Head of Planning Midlands, Turley

Angela is a commercially focused town planner with over 18 years’ consultancy experience advising on commercial and residential developments across the UK. She is a Senior Director at Turley, a full-service planning and development consultancy, and is head of the 23-strong Midlands planning team.

Angela began her career in Birmingham as a Graduate Planner at Drivers Jonas in 2014. Since then, she has helped to change the face of the city and the industry, with a strong track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams on major projects across Birmingham and the region, including Paradise, Digbeth Estate, Port Loop and Blythe Valley Park.

 
Steve Townsend
         

Stephen Townsend, Director, Associated Architects

Steve qualified as an Architect in 2012, became an Associate Director in 2017 and was promoted to Director in 2020.

He has led commercial schemes in many of Birmingham’s most prestigious office addresses such as Colmore Row and St Philip’s Square. He is currently leading the redevelopment of 10 Brindleyplace which will see the creation of Birmingham’s largest floorplate and one of the city’s most high-spec offices. His wider portfolio includes projects in the residential sector and he has worked on a number of award-winning schemes such as the Michael Baker Boathouse at the King’s School Worcester and 10 Woodcock Street for Birmingham City Council.
