In 2021 there was £800m of investment into European and UK Life Sciences real estate, with this predicted to hit up to £7 billion over the next five years. There is a lack of appropriate supply which has been further accentuated with the events of the past 18 months. Given this, and with similarities between the commercial office and life science space there has been an increased interest in future proofing offices; both new and existing for the ability to service both sectors.

Our event will start with an introduction to Life Sciences; what do we mean by this? Why have we seen such a growth in the sector? Where do we think it is going? We will then focus on some of the design and development considerations for designing an office building, both new and existing that is enabled for Life Science adaptation and the trends of the Sector.
