Description

The energy performance gap and divergence that exists between the design intent and the actual energy consumption of offices in the UK has been a long-standing challenge being tackled by the Better Buildings Partnership (BBP). An industry response to this challenge saw the recent launch of NABERS UK, an energy rating scheme based on the same principles that have had a transformational impact in the way offices use energy in Australia.

However, whilst NABERS is well established in Australia and backed by legislation, there is still some way to go before the same approach can be seamlessly implemented in the UK property industry.

Join us in the discussion about the challenges that the UK needs to overcome to deliver Design for Performance in practice, and hear directly from expert practitioners in Australia on the practical solutions to implementation and the lessons that the UK can learn from.
