Net Zero carbon and climate change are the two most compelling issues of our time. The built environment has a significant role to play and should demonstrate leadership by setting and delivering against ambitious climate commitments. This leadership will be crucial for the UK to reach its Net Zero target.

Description

Ahead of COP26, the BCO is running a series of webinars, culminating in an all-day conference in November, to explore what the industry can and should be doing to go ‘Beyond Net Zero’. During our season of events we will be looking at definitions, unpick challenges around embodied carbon, look at value and ask ourselves what Beyond Net Zero actually looks like.

Our second webinar will focus on the value of zero carbon. The carbon performance of assets is starting to influence commercial performance – the ability to generate higher returns, drive future occupier demand, and enable access to green finance. How should this change influence the way we develop, operate and finance our buildings? Is this an opportunity to drive real change, and what are the risks? Join us and the debate on 23 June at 11am.
