Andy Campbell, New Business Director at Multiplex, appointed as next Chair of the BCO NextGen London Committee

11 Nov 2021

Andy Campbell, New Business Director at the leading global construction company Multiplex, has taken over from Lindsey Barrett as Chair of the BCO NextGen London Committee.

Previously holding the role of Deputy Chair, supporting Lindsey throughout her 18-month tenure, Andy’s role will focus on ensuring the BCO’s NextGen programme offers best-in-class support, learning and growth opportunities for members, as the BCO team and members continue to define the new post-pandemic workplace. Joining Andy is Hannah Buxton, Associate Director at Savills, who will occupy the role of Deputy Chair during Andy’s tenure.

Andy Campbell said:

“I am honored to take on the role of Chair of the BCO NextGen London Committee at such a pivotal time for our industry. The BCO’s NextGen community is at the centre of shaping the future of the office - a conversation that has been consistently evolving over the past two years and that will continue to drive change across our industry in years to come. As I begin my tenure, I look forward to following in Lindsey’s footsteps and progressing these forward-thinking debates  within our community and the wider built environment.

In 2022 we plan to provide a platform for our members to share their fresh ideas, facilitate conversations and encourage cross-collaboration amongst our next generation of professionals to produce new ways of thinking around the future of the workplace. We also expect building tours to be back in full force throughout the year with a variety of panel sessions in planning to cover topics such as the carbon agenda, building technology and Diversity & Inclusion to name a few.”

Andy’s predecessor, Lindsey Barrett, Partner at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP, said:

“I am proud to have led the BCO NextGen London committee for the past 18 months and have been amazed by our members’ resilience and continued dedication to our programme during these challenging times. As we look to a world post-pandemic, I see an exciting time for change as we continue to rethink and optimise our workplaces. With the return of in-person learning, collaboration, and events, I am eager to see what opportunities lie ahead for our members under Andy’s leadership.”

Be sure to look out for any updates over the coming months, as the BCO continues to deliver its mentoring programme to members. Limited early bird discount tickets for the BCO’s annual conference, which will take place in Manchester in June, will also be made available for NextGen members soon.

We’re always happy to hear from fellow members. Please drop us an email with any feedback or new ideas: events@bco.org.uk.
