Commercial property is a significant consumer of energy and good environmental management is growing in importance to landlords and occupiers. Increasingly stringent legislation has been introduced to encourage good practice. The Carbon Reduction Commitment and Energy Performance Certificates are increasing the pressure on the commercial property sector.This report builds on an earlier publication from 2007, provides further advice on green leases and refers to other work underway in the UK and overseas.
