Each award category is shortlisted by three senior representatives of the BCO. Each nomination is judged on the supporting documentation and referee statements. The three highest-scoring nominations in each category will be submitted for final judging. Multiple nominations are judged individually. All winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in November.
AWARD CATEGORIES & CRITERIA:
Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year
This award recognises the outstanding contribution of an individual who has led the way in helping to create a workspace which is genuinely inclusive. Specific attention will be paid to the design and operation of the workplace which positively affects inclusivity.
Criteria
- There is no age limitation for this nomination
- Must have 3 referees who can support the nomination. There must be one internal referee and one external refer to the nominee’s own organisation
- Submission should include a clear summary of a specific project relating to Diversity and Inclusion in real estate.
NextGen's
Employer of the Year
This award celebrates
organisations that have created a stimulating and supportive work environment.
This means a real commitment to the welfare of employees, with tangible staff satisfaction and a well-motivated,
ambitious, genuinely integrated and diverse workforce.
Criteria
Nominations must
demonstrate how the organisation has achieved:
- Positive leadership and management
- An integrated ethical and diverse
culture across the organisation
- Engaged their employees with the
organisation’s values and strategic goals
- Provided schemes and training initiatives
that have contributed towards the development of its workforce
Graduate of the Year
This award celebrates the outstanding contribution of a graduate who has recently entered the commercial property industry
Criteria
- Must have 3 referees who can support the nomination. There must be one internal referee and one external refer to the nominee’s own organisation
- Nominee must have made a significant contribution to their own organisation, evidence required
- Nominee must have made a significant contribution outside of their own organisation, evidence required
Inspirational Leader of the Year
This award celebrates the outstanding contribution of a senior industry member who has led the next generation of office talent.
Criteria
- Nominations welcome from those aged 35 and under
- Must have 1 referee who can support the nomination. The referee can either be the person who has experienced the inspirational leadership, or alternatively a person who has witnessed the nominee leading others.

This award celebrates the outstanding contribution of someone under 35 to the office sector in the region

- Must be aged 35 or under at time of
nomination
