Undertaken by UCL Consultants and Professor Alexi Marmot, the report focuses on the main issues influencing fire safety in tall office buildings. At a time when increasing numbers of office-based employees work in tall, supertall and megatall buildings, both in the UK and globally, and when there have been recent tragedies from fire in tall buildings, notably the London residential building Grenfell Tower, it is essential that the best means of preventing fire, and accidents and death from fire, in tall buildings are understood.

The report argues for a joined up approach to fire safety and is intended to be of interest and value to all those involved directly or indirectly in the development, design, construction, management and use of tall, supertall and megatall office buildings.
