Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

DIVERSITY

The BCO strives to be recognised as an industry leader in good practice in relation to diversity, equity and inclusion. Diversity is a core element of our strategic aims; we want to broaden the office sector and encourage people from all backgrounds to pursue a career whether that is in design, construction or management.

The BCO is also committed to ensuring as far as possible that the Board of Management reflects the growing diversity of our membership. We actively aim to increase diversity across our committees.

Equality

As part of our efforts, the BCO is committed to communicating the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion to our members and the wider industry. We provide equal opportunities to all members to get involved in our events, research and publications, including through our NextGen schemes.

INCLUSION

The BCO actively promotes inclusion across the organisation. To ensure our work supports members’ mental health and wellbeing, we provide links to sources of support through both our regional and central networks.

COMMITTEES AND TEAMS
