The report considers the impact of growth in cycling on office specification as well as occupier and investor demand. In particular, it explores the drivers of demand for cycling by drawing on two surveys, one a large scale independent YouGov survey, commissioned by the BCO to understand the role of cycling as part of daily commute and examine what place office cycling facilities have in encouraging participation by those working in office buildings. The second survey was carried out by Remit and was targeted at individuals who have either a keen interest in cycling or are involved in the property industry or both.

Against this background, the report highlights occupier demand for cycling provision, how it has changed and what the future holds; implications for marketing of office buildings; regional/city differentials; guidance on cycling provision and implication for space provision and design.
