2027 BCO Honours nominations open

Nominations for this year’s BCO Honours recipient are now open.
The BCO Honour is a special award, launched last year, to celebrate an individual from among the BCO membership who has given their time, expertise and energy to the organisation and asked for nothing in return. A true unsung hero of the workspace world.
Neil Pennell, chair of the BCO’s Technical Affair Committee and head of design innovation and property solutions at Landsec, was awarded the first BCO Honour at a formal dinner held at Raffles London in February.
But who will follow in his footsteps? Among our 4,000 members and the hundreds of committee members who help make the BCO what it is, who deserves to be recognised with the next BCO Honour? That is up to you.
The winner will not only be publicly celebrated at the BCO Honours Dinner, which takes places at the Camden Roundhouse on 25 February 2027, they will also take home a special BCO award and will be gifted lifetime honorary membership to the BCO.
Fill in this short survey saying who you think should be the next recipient of the BCO Honours Award and why.
This award is focused on our members. We want to recognise and thank someone from within the membership for all they have done – and continue to do – to make the workspace world a better, greener, more productive and more inclusive space.
Your nominations will be judged by the BCO presidential team – immediate past president Helen Hare of GPE, president Andy McBain of NatWest, senior vice-president John Wright of Stride Treglown, junior vice-president Ben Cross of More, group treasurer Bruce Paterson of Quantem, national NextGen chair Beth Starling of Broadway Malyan, and BCO chief executive Samantha McClary – with the winner announced at the event on 25 February.
Entries close at 5pm on Monday 14 December 2026.
Tickets for the BCO Honours Dinner are limited and can be purchased here.
