BCO London Seminar: Value v Occupier Requirements | The Flex Debate

The BCO London committee invites you to join them for this fascinating debate at Storey, 100 Liverpool Street!

The Flex Debate will examine the growing tension between occupiers’ evolving demands for flexibility, amenity, and service, and the financial and value considerations of property owners. Through a lively panel discussion, the event will explore the different ways owners and occupiers can engage with flex – from serviced offices to fully managed solutions and operating partnerships.

Key themes will include occupier perspectives on the “amenity arms race,” the operational challenges and opportunities for those delivering flex, and the future role of amenities in shaping workplace strategy. The debate will also address how owners measure and justify returns from flex provision: are these models truly value-accretive, or do they simply enhance the performance of more traditional assets? With differing viewpoints, the session aims to surface challenges as well as opportunities in the evolving flex landscape.

Sam McClary, BCO’s Chief executive officer, will moderate the panel, with speakers including:

  • Will Kennear, Director – HEWN
  • Rebecca Gardiner, Head of Storey and Managed Workspaces – British Land
  • Christy Bowen, Head of London Offices and Flexspace – Value and Risk Advisory – JLL
  • Craig Owen, Director of Property and Workplace – Legal & General
