BCO North Talk & Tour: Durham University Business School: Where Education Meets Workplace

Join the BCO North Committee for a panel discussion with the client & project team, on the fit-out of The Waterside Building for Durham University Business School.

Unique to the university, the Business School is home to both traditional university students and executive education clients alike, catering to all levels of stakeholder use.

As well as the traditional university offering, the business school has partnerships with a number of corporate entities to offer industry-based courses to all their employees – professionals who are further on in their education and are more familiar with a workplace setting. The Business School was therefore designed with the workplace in mind, to engage with executive education students at the level of high performing business, whilst also catering to the university’s younger students who are still in education.

During the panel discussion, the project team will explore the challenges faced curating a design with a focus on workplace vs a typical university setting, catering to multiple stakeholder users, and any lessons learned, followed by a tour of the business school where we will gain a valuable insight into the end result.
